For Textured Hair was founded with the vision of normalizing and celebrating textured hair in all its forms. We aim to inspire confidence in wearing your hair with pride and to create products that make it easy to care for and love your natural hair. With a focus on quality, care, and ingredients that truly make a difference, we offer haircare that provides moisture, strength, and shine without compromise.

For Textured Hair is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Our haircare products are developed and manufactured in Sweden, using carefully selected, nutrient rich ingredients and maintaining high standards of quality at every step of the process.

Our products are made with plant-based ingredients, but we also use a few scientifically developed ingredients to ensure the product’s effectiveness, stability, and longevity. We always strive to use as high a percentage of botanical derived ingredients as possible without compromising on quality or results.

Yes, our products are free from nuts and gluten. If you have a specific allergy, we recommend checking the ingredient list on each product, where all ingredients are always listed in detail.

Yes, all our products are 100% vegan and not tested on animals.

Our products are pH-balanced with a pH level of 4.5–5.2, around the same range that hair and skin naturally have. This helps maintain the hair’s protective layer, reduce damage, and prevent dryness.

Unopened products have a shelf life of up to 36 months. After opening, we recommend using the product within 6 months for optimal effectiveness and freshness. All products are labeled with a symbol indicating the period of use after opening.

For Textured Hair is developed for all types of textured hair from loose to tight textures. Our products are formulated to provide the right balance of moisture, nourishment, and definition, whether you’re looking for more volume or long-lasting definition.

If you have a lot of hair (high density, full strands, or longer lengths), you may need to use more product in your routine for the best results.

If your hair is finer or has lower density, a smaller amount is often enough to achieve light volume and movement

If your hair feels rough, stiff, or like the products aren’t really absorbing, it may be a sign of buildup on the hair. Sometimes your hair needs a fresh start with a clarifying shampoo. This helps remove product residue, buildup, and metals that accumulate over time.

For best results, we recommend clarifying about once every four weeks. This allows your hair to better absorb moisture and nutrients from your products, leaving it softer and more hydrated again.

Yes, our products are gentle and can be used on children from age 3 and up. Our formula is fragrance-free, gentle and formulated without essential oils, citric acid, sulfates, silicones, phthalates, or synthetic colorants in accordance with EU cosmetic regulations.

Our products are completely free from added perfumes and essential oils. This is a conscious choice made with consideration for hair, scalp, skin, and the environment. Perfume is one of the most common causes of irritation and sensitivity, especially in products used regularly. By opting out of perfume, we reduce the risk of irritation over time. For us, it is more important that the products work, feel good in the hair, and are gentle in the long run, than that they have a strong scent.

Our products are perfume-free, but not entirely scent-free. The scent comes naturally from the plant-based ingredients in the formula, such as oils and botanical extracts. Since we don't mask these scents, they can be perceived differently from person to person. As we work with natural raw materials, the scent can also vary slightly between batches and change over time.

For us at fth, fragrance-free is not just a formula choice, it's part of our philosophy. We believe in a gentle and thoughtful approach to hair care that considers the whole picture: hair, scalp, skin, and their long-term health.

Every ingredient must serve a purpose. If it doesn't contribute to the well-being of the hair or scalp, it has no place in the formula. Instead of masking the product, we let the formula speak for itself.

Our priority has always been the formula: how it works, how it feels, and how it supports the hair over time. We develop our products to provide hydration, slip, softness, and balance, not to create a temporary experience.

Because we don't use added perfume or essential oils. The scent comes from the raw ingredients in the formula and may therefore be perceived differently if you are used to fragranced products. This is a conscious choice. We prioritize function, scalp health, and long-term results over masking the formula.

No. The natural scent may be most noticeable upon application, especially on wet hair. As the hair dries, it becomes milder and dissipates, leaving the hair feeling clean and neutral.

Fragrance-free products can be a gentler option, especially for sensitive skin and scalp or for regular use. At fth, we focus on creating formulas where each ingredient serves a function for hair and scalp, rather than adding fragrance for the experience.

Even though essential oils are plant-based, they can be irritating, especially with frequent use. We have chosen to exclude them to create a formula that is as gentle and stable as possible for both scalp and skin.

To gently respect hair and scalp over time. It's about avoiding unnecessary stress, irritation, and product buildup, and instead focusing on moisture, balance, and long-term hair health. It's not about doing less, but about doing what actually makes a difference.
